Specified currencies: A term in ISDA documentation specifying the currencies in which a default or a credit event should take place in order to trigger a protection payment. If there is a default on an obligation which is not in the specified currency, the default is not recognised. Currencies of USA, UK, Japan, and Euro are commonly used as specified currencies.
